Biomechanical Assessment and Orthotics

Flat feet, painful heels and plantarfasciitis, can often be corrected by specialist insoles called orthotics. During a Biomechanical Consultation, an assessment is carried out and this involves an examination of the lower limbs.

The assessment will focus on the structure, alignment, strengths and weaknesses of the foot and will include the pelvis, legs and knees and how they work together as pain in one area can indicate a weakness or structural problem in another.
